In just 160 sqf/15 sqm, this ice cream shop project demonstrates how a compact space can be transformed into a highly efficient and welcoming environment. The main objective was to provide a complete service without compromising on comfort or aesthetics. The interior layout was carefully designed to optimize every inch/cm: the pozzetti counter, featuring 20 prominently displayed golden tubs, evokes the tradition of artisanal gelato while ensuring clear visibility and easy access for the operator. The project stems from the desire of a historic family of gelato makers to renew themselves without losing their identity. The gelateria becomes a neighborhood landmark: a welcoming, contemporary space that blends tradition and innovation. Authentic materials such as wood and stone interact with clean lines and colors inspired by the natural tones of gelato, enriched with vibrant accents. Large windows open the space to the street, transforming it into a neighborhood “piazza”, a place for connection and conviviality.
